James Baroud Evo Explorer roof top tent
We bought the James Baroud Evo Explorer for a number of reasons. Primarily it is fast to set up and pull down, its comfortable and aerodynamic (as much as roof top tens gp!).
It generally takes about 15 seconds to put up and we are down to about 7 minutes to pull down. We can now do it with one person as we have refined the technique and know how to fit things on the bed.
We leave the bed set up and a small bag of clothes each as well as the ladder inside when we pack it down.
The area under the struts needs to be clear and we can’t leave anything under the low part of the roof where the on roof baggage rack is.
The set up procedure requires the back to be released fully first and the front just pops up. Packing away, we clip in the clamps (but not locked in) and then pull the back down. Ensure all the canvass is tucked in and fully close the latches before locking the front down.
This is a great product!
